There is, so we are led to believe (http://www.chessbase.com/shop/product.asp?pid=368) a survey of this in the latest ChessBase Magazine (#122) - although I have not yet received my copy Smiley.

Hasn't someone mentioned this already. I believe the conclusion was that the gambit gives good compensation but responding with d4 gives an improved version of that anti marshall for white.

what do people think about   1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Bb5 a6 4.Ba4 Nf6 5.O-O Be7 6.Re1 b5 7.Bb3 d6 8.c3 O-O 9.h3 Na5 10.Bc2 and now 10...d5!!?  Is this the new and improved Marshall or just a bad pawn move??
