Uberdecker,

You really need to try that Tasmanian Roaring 40s.

Regarding French cheeses, yes, they are fantastic.  But Camembert and brie are overrated.  There some excellent chevre cheeses tho.

A Roast Beast and sharp Cheddar sandwich with a bit of Coleman's mustard is royally British brilliance.

So long as the beast used is itself not of British import.   Cheesy

Long live Moldy Mammal Milk!

True story, if off-topic:

I once went to the largest book store in the US (which was Powell's Book Store in Portland, Oregon before Amazon.com).  I wandered over to the cheese section and found there several volumes of Informant for $1 each!

I like that sort of cheese.

I refer the readers to previous comments on cheese in a thread we discussed about two years ago.  My all time favorite is Tasmanian Roaring 40s Cheese.  It's won awards, but who cares?  It's the best tasting cheese I've ever had.

A Roast Beast and sharp Cheddar sandwich with a bit of Coleman's mustard is royally British brilliance.

St Agur Cheese with crackers can't be beat!

Spinach salad with Roquefort is scrumptious!

Ham and Swiss is wholly satisfying.

Do I really have to choose only one cheese as best?

Edammer is superior to Goudse. Sorry Bibs.

The book had the effect good books usually have: it made the stupids more stupid, the intelligent more intelligent and the other thousands of readers remained unchanged.

Locatelli goes well with the Giocco.

I'll go with the ultraprocessed-bright orange food color enhanced-dehydrated-radioactive cheese packets that come with Kraft Mac & Cheese. Mmmmm......
