I strongly agree with MnB to try The Kasparov Gambit after 1.d4 Nf6 2.c4 c5 3.Nf3 cxd4 4.Nxd4 e5!?

This gives Black a very useful initiative, and is hardly even a permanent gambit as the pawn can be rounded up later usually. It remains a mystery to me why this line is not more popular for Black.

Yeah this line looks ok, but recently i don't have any materials about it. My only 'big book' about english is old german Bagirov publication.

I couldn't recall ever having seen 5. Nb5 there; it turns out that it was once played by Kortchnoi, but is supposed to be dubious after 5...d5.

Against 1.d4 Nf6 2.c4 c5 3.Nf3, I usually play 3...cd4 4. Nd4 e6 followed by Bb4 and I like this kind of Nimzo-Indian position with White having already taken in d4 with the knight.

What about 5.Nb5 right now, trying to play e4 in next move. It's look like hedgehog setup :|

But I have to admit that at least 90% of the anti-Benko lines I face is
1.d4 Nf6 2.Nf3 c5 3.c3 which is another debate Smiley

Try The Kasparov Gambit 1.d4 Nf6 2.c4 c5 3.Nf3 cxd4 4.Nxd4 e5. Any decent book on the English has it.

Well... Can You recommend me one? Wink

Symmetrical English by Carsten Hansen has a good section on A31 (Vaganian/Kasparov Gambit).

Thank You. I'll check this book...

I know I've made some very poor decisions recently, but I can give you my complete assurance that my work will be back to normal. I've still got the greatest enthusiasm and confidence in the mission.

I used to play Dzindzi recommendation on english, but it's imposible with Nf6 move-order.

After 1.d4 Nf6 2.c4 c5 3.e3 cxd4 4.exd4 d5 play transposes to the Caro-Kann Panov Variation (1.e4 c6 2.d4 d5 3.exd5 cxd5 4.c4 Nf6). Again there is a wide choice of sources.

Yess!
And I'm also caro player. I just forgot this transposition! Smiley

The book had the effect good books usually have: it made the stupids more stupid, the intelligent more intelligent and the other thousands of readers remained unchanged.

How to play against 'anti-benko lines'

Hi!
Im new benko player.
I have a problem with certain anti benko lines :
1.d4 Nf6 2.c4 c5 3.Nf3
1.d4 Nf6 2.c4 c5 3.e3

Second one is in Dzindzi repertoire book, but i don't like his suggestions.
What about first line? This can transpose to english...
In 'Dealing with d4 deviations' John Cox show how to play with anti-benoni lines, but nothing about benko Sad
Can someone reccomend me good source about how to fight anti-benko?

Regards.
M.
