In regards to endings (and even sone middlegames!) in the Poisoned Pawn Winawer, the problem for Black is that unless he has enough activity, White might just run his h-pawn down the board and win.

Of course in reality it's not that easy, but I think that is part of what some people fear.

Chess is complex, but one would think that if anything, endings from the Winawer tend to be good for Black.  Maybe you're referring to (a comment about) endings arising from the French Poisoned Pawn, which would seem to be a different kettle of fish.

I read in a thread that the endings resulting from the Winawer are worse for Black. Is that true?  Angry
