Tempus fugit.  Qg7 remains a try, but Black's play has been strengthened and he is now considered to be OK in this line.  See the game Ponomariov-Shirov for an example.  For reading up on the Botvinnik generally, the best choice is Vigorito's Play the Semi-Slav.

anybody else seen this game?? SIMPLY AWESOME!!
just out of interest, has the sac been refuted or is 20 Rd7 losing for black.

d4 d5 c4 c6 Nf3 Nf6 Nc3 c6 Bg5 dxc4 e4 b5 e5 h6 Bh4 g5 Nxg5 hxg5 Bxg5 Nbd7 exf6 Bb7 g3 c5 d5 Qb6 Bg2 0-0-0 0-0 b4 Na4 Qb5 a3 exd5 axb4 cxb4 Be3 Nc5 Qg4+
at this point shirov plays Rd7 which is met with Qg7!? and Ivanchuck wins in like 12 moves... is this all irrelevant now or unsound??

also for the botvinnik in general, where can i get a good book cause i need to read up on my theory.
