Not necessarily, there is also the new Grandmaster Repertoire series by Quality Chess and the Khalifman's updated Openign for White According to Kramnik, which will now treat the Catalan. Both are due out earliar.

Well at least there is Beating the Flank Openings by Kotronias (I'm not sure of the exact title), which despite the name is about playing black against the English and the Catalan.

And I think Semkov has mentioned a possibly(!) upcoming Chess Stars book on a black repertoire based on the Vienna QG and including how to counter the Catalan.

Would "Provides answers to all of Black's main defences" mean that he will consider other initial move orders than the very classical 1.d4, d5 2. c4... such as 1.Nf3 ?
Surely this cannot refer to the mere different flavors that arise out of black's fifth move ?

Other than the Bogo-Catalan, what are you hoping for?  Black can always avoid the Catalan no matter what the move order...

The Everyman book by R&C is a translation + update of their original work in German, which is more helpful in explanation...

Everyman has already published a book aboput the Catalan some few years ago (2004): The Catalan (Chetverik and Raetsky).
The book is really interesting: it gives a good basis and explains the principle themes that can be used in this opening.
For more information: http://www.everymanchess.com/display.php?id=211
Now an actualization would certainly not be a bad thing but at your level, I think this is largely enough.

I believe that Khalifman is writing an update of Kramnik's repertoire and that will include a book on the Catalan. Whether this will suffice as a guide to the opening in terms of general themes as opposed to variations remains to be seen.

It seems that would have to be a consideration for Everyman. The recent surge of popularity and outcry for updated material make it a near-guarantee hit.

I will join with you as one looking on with interest to their next publishings. It would be a wonderful addition to all of those helpful, though sometimes confusing, Kramnik games.  Roll Eyes

This would be a great EVERYMANCHESS book, featuring many annotated games played by Kramnik in the Catalan. Very instructive for a USCF 1775 almost class-A player like myself.
