After 15...Be6 White might consider 16.Bd3 Rab8 17.Qa3 and now Fritz wants White to grab the second pawn after a5 18.f4 Rbc8 19.Qxa5. It looks quite risky to me, but is Black's attack worth two pawns?
15...Rab8 16.Qa3 Bf5 17.Ba6 Qc7 18.Bd3 has been played before, Black drew after Bxd3. The point seems to be 19.Rxd3 e6 20.Qxa7 Qc4!
To answer the question "What does Black have for the pawn", the answer might be play against the pawns a2, b2 and c3. Like Tony pointed out Black has sacrificial ideas against the latter two, while the weakness of pawn a2 means that the black a-pawn often is poisoned.
Hope this helps.

You didn't consider 15...Be6, which to me looks like the best move. Then 16. Qa5 Rab8 17. Qa3 a5! and in my opinion, Black's got enough compensation. Of course 17...a5 stops 18. Ba6, and after 18...Rfc8 (Unless White does something stupid), White will be looking at defended against all kinds of violence on b2 or c3.

Hi, it's been a few years since I've been on this forum.

Well, your last on was on 13 - 2 (or 2/13, if you prefer). But if that one doesn't count (only one word), it has been two years indeed. Welcome back. Kiss
I will look at your line tomorrow, now I have a girlfriend to please.

Hi, it's been a few years since I've been on this forum.

Anyway, 9 0-0-0 d5 10 exd5 Nxd5 11 Nxc6 bxc6 12 Nxd5 cxd5 13 Qxd5 Qc7 14 Qc5! Qb7 15 c3!

And now after 15 ... Rb8 16 Qa3 Bf5 17 Ba6! (17 Bd3?? Bxc3!! wins) Qc7 18 Bd3 or 15 ... Bf5 16 Qa3, what does black have for the pawn?

I know black is supposed to have "attacking chances" here, but I don't see any, and with a decent defense, it seems like white will win readily.  Fritz says it's a clear pawn up.

Thoughts?
