After 1. e4 c6 2. d4 d5 3. e5 c5 4. dxc5 e6 5. Be3 Nd7 6. Bb5 Qc7 7. b4!? is considered strong by Karpov/Podgaets (Main Line is 7. Nf3 Bxc5 8. Bxc5 Qxc5 with classical frenchlike positions). Play usually continues 7 ... Qxe5 8. c3 etc. It strikes me that 7 ... b6!? is an interesting move to try here, neither 8. cxb6 Bxb4+ nor 8. c6 Nxe5 looks very strong fo White IMHO. What do you think guys?
