According to american Amazon, the 2nd edition will be available Jan 6 2009. It will have 552 pages compared to the 448 pages of the first edition.
  
Don't check me with no lightweight stuff.

Alias quibbling aside, COBE is less dismal than their white affair. New edition tho - can it really be justified? Unlikely. 
Unless they found a picture of Lev Alburt wearing a different shirt. In which case - Fairy Nuff.

Where did you find this book?

I just did a quick search on Google and couldn't find a 2nd edition of the book. Which recommended variations have the authors changed?

I bought Chess Openings for Black Explained a couple years ago, and I have recently bought a newer edition, and I was wondering, were there any important novelties that are in the lines suggested in the book? Also, has anybody had problems with their copies of COE falling apart?
