Okay....seems like it was something very simple. You are only allowed to have a maximum of 20 favourite threads. So I had to remove all the old ones, now the button is back.  Embarrassed

Another cause may be that you are not logged into the forum. I have set it on "keeps" but every once in a while I have to log in again (before you start worrying Tony it is a system issue in combination with the forum software, not something wrong with the forum Wink).

If nothing else works, a total pig-headed unwillingness to look facts in the face will see us through.

And where do I now find my "Favorites" once I have added one or many threads to this list/category? Of course I want to track them, find them, and access them easily from time to time ... (Honestly confused a bit with the user guidance for the moment.)

Edit: I just fould the answer to my question so I put it right here.
At the bottom of the forum page (right side) there is a dropdown box "Forum jump" with "my favorites". That was what I had missed previously.

I still have the "Add to Favorites" button as well. It's about two inches under the ChessPub logo in the top right corner of my screen. To the right of the "Reply" and "Add a Poll" buttons.

I guess this mystery will remain unsolved.  Undecided

It is still there on my Forum, just after the 'Reply' button! Is anyone else missing this?  Undecided

I miss that feature too!

Myself I was mainly using it as a reminder, i.e. when I hit on some interesting threads while working on a specific opening - i.e. it is a very useful complement to the 'search' feature.

Tony,

There was a useful feature that allowed you to set a topic as a favourite. I found it useful since I could just do a quick scan on a board and see if any of the threads that I was interested in had any new postings. What happened to this feature?
