Chill out, it's just the internet. If people get offended over what's said on a message board they need to check themselves. Seriously.

Feedback: You're post about intelligence didn't offend me. I hope the same holds in the other way round for my answer to you there.

Taking a break is normally a good thing if you think about it. Keep your head up.  Wink

I am officially taking a break from posting on ChessPub Forum from June 25 to October 1, at the earliest. The break could be longer.

While I have not posted much of late, my laconic, off-topic and lame responses have offended many people and such behavior from a moderator is completely inexcusable. I hereby apologize for my actions and have decided not to compound the problem with further posting, excluding of course this post.

This is a great place for discussion on chess, and my contributions reduce the quality of this Forum and merely stir people up.

Well I would like to be the first to forgive both TN and Markowich for whatever they have done Grin

And I hope they will keep posting for a long time.

I've never seen you insult anyone. Refuting bad ideas does not count as an insult.

Goodness, if making mistakes and sometimes being rude justified anyone's taking a break from posting here, I'd never be able to post at all.

On the basis of recent posts I have decided to take another break.

I might not be back for a few weeks.

Some of my recent posts have been quite low in quality, so I am taking another break, starting from sometime this weekend. I won't be able to post on the Forum as much from now although I will still view it daily in order to fulfill my role as a Moderator of the Nimzo/Benoni section.

Hello,

This is just to say that I will be away for a couple of weeks and will not have time to post on the ChessPub forum.

If you have any questions directed to me, then I will reply within 2-3 weeks.

No, just check your lines better before you post (hm hm, look who's writing). And I don't have noticed you being especially harsh.

Should I take a break?

Hi,

I was wondering whether you think it would be a good idea for me to take a break from posting on the ChessPub forum for some days? I have noticed that, on average, my posts are of a lower quality.

For example, I am starting to make 'simple' mistakes in my evaluations and comments, and I suspect that I am being a bit too harsh to other posters in some of my posts.

So, should I stop posting for some time or not?
