Probably available this month:

"Kill KID 1 NEW, Under print!!
by Semko Semkov, April 2009, 140 pages"

http://www.chess-stars.com/index.html

What kind of proof is that?

Anyone know where I can get this?

I imagine you will have to wait till it has been written, then published.
Chess Stars publishing.
Then your online book seller or chess shop of choice.

Looks interesting fare certainly.

140 pages - a mini-book?  Huh

Semkov doesn´t waste space with moves like 9.ed5 instead of 9.cd5 for example. I definitely buy this book to have a real weapon against the KID. If black isn´t full prepared I´ll make mincemeat of my opponent. Roll Eyes

Seems an interesting book, and as I played the four-pawn-attack 10 years ago it might be time for a reviable.
A must buy for me Cool

Markovich have you had a chance to consider Svidler's 6...e5 which is the subject of the recent KID dangerous weapons book

No, I haven't updated my 4PA notes in a while, since I've been dabbling in the the Averbach lately.  But I expect to get around to it.  I've faced 6...e5 a few times, but not from a sophisticated opponent. I'd like to learn what the new idea is.

I'm interested that anyone would propose 6...e5, given that Black is supposed to be so wonderfully happy with 9...Re8; with 9...Bg5 and with 6...Na6.  Apparently Black's cup just runs over with good answers to the 4PA, yet they keep looking for new ideas!?

You might want to reread my post. He doesn't suggest any of the moves I play!  Grin

Haha, no I'm not translating it. I'd like to divulge some information, but I don't want to get in trouble with Semko if he doesn't want me to say anything. This is what I will say - here is my 4PA repertoire:

1. d4 Nf6 2. c4 g6 3. Nc3 Bg7 4. e4 d6 5. f4 0-0 6. Nf3

6...c5 7. d5 e6 8. Be2 exd5 9. cxd5 and now:

     9...Re8 10. e5 dxe5 11. fxe5 Ng4 12. Bg5

     9...Bg4 10. 0-0 Nbd7 11. Re1

6...Na6 7. e5

None of my final moves in each variation match what Semkov thinks is best. It promises to be a truly interesting and exciting read! He also promises to cover weird Modern move orders where Black refuses to play ...d6 or ...Nf6 I belive.

The are the sharpest lines, of course.  I'm happy to see that he finds it possible to recommend 7.e5 against 6...Na6.  In the past I've played 7.Bd3, but it gives rise to a maneuvering game with += at best.  In principle I'd like to play something more aggressive.

Banzai!
