I know this variation as "Deferred c3" or "Alapin Deferred".

@MatrixX: 13. ... b6 & Bb7 seems more natural to me. In any case Black seems to have the better position due to White having an isolani, but without serious prospects for attack.

yes, 4...Nf6 is a good possibility for black, however a have a corr-game running with this variation and i couldn't prove a clear way to exploit blacks advantage. The game went like this: 1.e4 c5 2.d4 cxd4 3.Nf3 d6 4.c3 Nf6 5.cxd4(seems suspect to me) Nxe4 6.Bd3 Nf6 7.0-0 g6 8.Nc3 Bg7 9.Qb3 0-0 10. Re1
i think black must have an advantage but as i said i couldn't exploit it.
I played now 10...Nc6!? 11.d5 Nb8 (Ne5 leads to nothing) 12.Be3 Nbd7 13.Bf1 Nc5 and black is better but white managed to get a drawish endgame

Any suggestions for improvement so far? (Maybe 10...Re8)

It's an iffy way of trying to play the (Smith-) Morra Gambit, because it gives Black the extra and attractive possibility of 4...Nf6.
