12...h6 13.Bxf6 gxf6 looks horrible for black, maybe even 14.Bxe6 is possible. Maybe 7...Be7 instead of 7...b5 is a good option to avoid all this stuff.

imo 7...Be7 is safer, assuming Black has the resources (and nerves) to withstand the K-side attack after ...O-O. It's a matter of taste, I'd rather defend a castled position, than stay with a King in the centre.

I personally play 7. ... Nbd7-Nc5 which is another viable option, facing Bg5 with either ...h6 or ...Qa5..

After 8. Bg5 can be interesting to play 8.., h6. Golubev  in his book "The Sicilian Sozin" quotes only  two more moves: 9. Bxf6 Qxf6  10 0-0.

I will be particularly interested in your opinion on  this line.

Yesterday evening I have checked the Yearbooks and seems that Black is ok in this even allowing Qxe6 stuff. But of course a lot of work and memorization is required. For those interested in this line I recommend having a look in NIC Yearbook 87 and 88.

Well, there was a two-part article about this line in the Yearbook not so long ago, which concluded that "Black has many playable options, including allowing 14. Qxe6+."

Just made a quick research on 12...h6 and seems it does not solve Black's problems
So the only remaining alternatives remain 9...Qb6 or even 9...Qd7!? as it was suggested by our site moderator Tony Kosten in his book "Easy Guide to the Najdorf".

I did not analysed this variation at all because it is not in my repertoire, so I am not aware of the latest developments in the line. But maybe you should think of 12...h6 in your main line.
And if it does not work then maybe 9...Qb6 is another alternative.

That looks like an absolute kill, where should black deviate in your opinion. Everything until 12.Qe3 looks kinda forced to me.

You should aware of the following game also:

I think that 12...Nbd7 does not solve your problem at all. So may be you should try to deviate early.

1.e4 c5 2.Nf3 d6 3.d4 cxd4 4.Nxd4 Nf6 5.Nc3 a6 6.Bc4 e6 7.Bb3 b5 8.Bg5 Be7 9.Qf3 Qc7 10.e5 Bb7 11.exd6 Bxd6 12.Qe3
Since 12...Bc5 is in my opinion pretty much refuted in view of chucky's 13.0-0-0 Nc6 14.Qxe6!! Black has to look for other options.

I'm thinking about playing: 12...Nbd7 13.0-0-0 0-0-0
The problem is, there are almost no games with 12...Nbd7 (Only one, where black played horrible and lost easy). in my 2008 megabase. Could anyone help me out?
