I have watched the dvd, and the line is based on the 9 0-0-0 variation, and after 9...d5 10 Kb1. The main point is that queen sac line after 10 Nxd4 and e5 with 17 Bb5. Obviously there are alternatives before the mainline, but I thought it was a good dvd. I have put the lines on Rybka (2006 version) and had a look at them. In the main variation Rybka has white at least at +0.50. Certainly food for thought.

Interesting, what does he give agianst this line:

I just finished watching this DVD and you need not worry, as Dzinzi dismisses the line in the thread you quoted after about 10 secs with the comment that this is not a serious possibility for Black and a quick check in a database will provide all the answers. Typical Dzindzi  Angry

On the plus side the actual analysis he does provide seems of quite high quality, and suprisingly his presentation isn't a sloppy unedited mess as i've come to expect from him. We will need to see if this line becomes popular again for White in the future.

On a rating scale out of 10 I would rate this DVD as a 6, but had it not been for that glaring omission I mentioned it would have received a 9.

Long live the Dragon....I hope  Undecided

I remember that the late Robert J. Fischer claimed in the 70s that the Dragon was really easy to defeat, with pawn storm in the kingside.

And dragoneers maintain the validity of the whole complex 40 years later.

I cannot believe that Mr. "Dzindzi" has solved the position in favour of white side.

Which line he claim to be the killer of the Dragon Complex?

The real problem with the dragon especially in correspondence is that it tends to lead to draw after draw after draw. Over the board there is a problem in remembering all the theory and countering the new wrinkles that the white players come up with.
However in correspondence it is a different kettle of fish.

Now what line does D. suggest.

I would find it hilarious that Roman could refute the Dragon, but Khalifman couldn't. Even if he did, he's such a sloppy mess on those videos that people are probably gonna come away more confused than informed.

Roman's Lab 75: Slaying the Dragon (107 mins)

Dragon in Jeopardy – On this very controversial DVD, Roman makes an unprecedented claim that the “Dragon” variation of Sicilian is in dire straits despite its recent popularity. It’s fascinating to see how variation by variation White emerges with sizeable advantage. All these variations are fully supported by Rybka’s analysis. This DVD practically demolishes one of the oldest and most complicated opening systems of modern chess theory! So before all the Dragon players find out about this DVD, start racking up the wins.
