In the recently published KID book by Bologan the following variation in the f-pawns attack is missing
1.d4 Nf6 2.c4 g6 3.Nc3 Bg7 4.e4 d6 5.f4 0-0 6.Nf3 c5 7.d5 e6 8. Be2 exd5 9. exd5 , whis is not that rare. Any suggestions what black should play ? Maybe Golubev could help in his next update with a repertoire suggestion for black Roll Eyes

In a way, the worst opening idea in the modern chess is to have a repertoire. Smiley
In 2007 I looked at the following in Chess Today.
1. d4 Nf6 2. c4 g6 3. Nc3 Bg7 4. e4 d6 5. f4 O-O 6. Nf3 c5 7. d5 e6 8. Be2 exd5 9. exd5 Bf5 10. O-O Re8 11. Bd3 Qd7 12. Bxf5 Qxf5 13. Qb3 Na6 14. Qxb7 Nb4
Maybe, who knows.

If I recall correctly, the immediate ...Nh5 followed by ...f5 is also adequate.  The big thing Black has to worry about is f4-f5.  If he understands that, this line is not hard to defend.

thx fllg, I will check in in my Gallagher book
had somehow the impression, he recommenden 6...Na6 against the four pawn, but this was in his beating the anti-KID.

Of course it is a sideline, but nevertheless.... Wink

@ TopNotch

It was me - not boki - who mentioned this in the other thread. At least this line has been played much more often than 5.h3 0-0 6.Bd3. Tongue

@ boki

I suggest you follow Gallaghers recommendation in "Play the King´s Indian": 9... Bf5 10.0-0 Re3 11.Bd3 Qd7 12.h3 Na6 13.a3 Nc7 when after 14.g4!? Bxg4 is at least a perpetual while 14... Bxd3 15.Qxd3 b5 16.cxb5 Reb8 17.a4 a6 has been asessed as giving compensation.

Sheesh man, didn't you already mention this in the Bologan thread, moreover that not critical sideline is well covered in at least six other Kid text or just do an online search of what the strongest KID protagonists play or have played aganst it.

Gawd!!
