When White is allowed to play Bf4 and e3 vs the Stonewall, according to all sources I've seen, and according to my own practice (from the White side), it's mostly a question about whether it's += or +/-

It seems pretty suspicious to me, though I noticed a couple of books thinking it should be (only) "+=".

After : 1.d4 d5 2.Bf4 e6 3.Nf3 f5 ?! 4) adlib c6 seems to give a stonewall full of holes but i would like to know if it's playable or simply gloomy ?
