Bit of false advertising if you ask me.  They sell something "for chessbase" and it doesn't work within ChessBase 9.   Angry

No, it works, you just can't make it the default analysis module. Anyway, I think this is more ChessBases's fault than Rybka's.

Yes, you are correct.  You can make it a kibitzer, just not the default kibitzer.

Its poor that you can't do this in CB9.

However, it DOES work in CB Light Premium, available for around $50 and with most of the features that CB10 has. Recommended.  Smiley

That was my initial reaction too, so I was mildly surprised when I went to the Rybka website and found the instructions, but I just noticed that the instructions are for Rybka 2.2 Shocked  I just tried to create the UCI engine in CB9 (I use Rybka 3 UCI in CB10) and Tony seems to be right about CB9.

No, I seem to remember this is not possible in CB9. Roll Eyes

You have install as UCI engine.  Here's a link to instructions from Rybka website (should be in the manual on the DVD as well).

I just purchased Deep Rybka 3 for Chessbase.  I'm using Chessbase 9.  Is there any way to make Deep Rybka 3 one of the Chessbase kibitzers or even the default kibitizer?

When I installed DeepRybka 3, ChessBase saved it as Chessprogram 11.exe.  If I use the create UCI function in ChessBase and try to load that .exe program, all that happens is that a Fritz11 interface pops up.

Any thoughts or help would be appreciated.  Thanks.
