I am learning the nimzo indian. Can you recommend me an easy repertoire agaist e3, Nf3, Bd2, Qc2...
Can you tell me if the Bad Bishop Series Nimzo Indian by Chris Ward is a good option to learn the nimzo or is the Easy Way from Aagard a better option?
Really Thanks
Against 4.Qc2: 4...c5 5.dc5 0-0 6.a3 Bc5 7.Nf3 b6 - there is some theory but the plans are quite easy to learn, and the line has a good theoretical reputation to boot. If this doesn't suit you, 4...0-0 5.a3 Bc3 6.Qc3 Ne4 is a good, easy to play alternative.
Against 4.e3: 4...b6 5.Nge2 Ne4 and 5.Bd3 Bb7 6.Nf3 Ne4 both give Black good play and aren't difficult to learn as Black.
Against 4.Nf3: Black has several good options, but I recommend 4...Ne4, which is quite easy to play for Black and should only give White a small edge at best.
Against 4.Bd2: Transposing to an improved QGD Ragozin with 4...d5 makes a lot of sense, and 4...0-0 first is equally good.
There are a few good books on the Nimzo, but I will recommend Chess Explained: The Nimzo-Indian by Vera as being a perfect starting point, although the coverage is obviously not comprehensive.
