Ulf is probably my favorite GM. Okay, so I like underdogs and everymen and not rare geniuses. I guess I relate better to being competent at something rather than being the greatest ever ---though it is good to applaud exceptional excellence (eg, Fisher, Tal, Kasperov).  There is some admirable subtlety in many of Ulf's games, see Andersson v Seirawan ---an English Opening game with some elegant moves.

Ulf Andersson is a very experienced Sicilian player since 1... c5 was his primary weapon against 1.e4 throughout his career. I'm sure that he knows about every Sicilian system. If you check his tournament games, he had employed the Scheveningen and Najdorf as well as 4-knights, Sveshnikov, Classical, accelerated dragon and the "Safest Sicilian" (Taimanov). The real dragon (2...Nf6/5...g6) never made it to his tournament repertoire but I do know that he used to play it a lot in server blitz games.

Lookning throught some recent elite levels games I found this game where the GM Ulf Andersson (a former world number four in regular chess and former world number one at correspondence chess), who is best known for his defence and endgames skills plays the Najdorf and transposes to Dragon after h3 and loses.
