The Accelerated Dragondorf seems to be most tested by 8. Qd2 Bb7 9. g4!? which interferes with Black's intended ...Nbd7. Rybka gives +.3 and I don't remember having seen anything on it here.

An interesting note would be that this is seemingly the only remaining hurdle to the total unbusting of 7...b5.

As usual I will not only talk as I consider that totally useless. Why let people know what I am afraid of? No, my idea is in several hours to again post some analysis.

It's much appreciated!

I'm trying to make the Dragadorf (or accelerated Dragadorf) work myself as a winning try. Will take a good look at your analysis this evening and see if I have anything to add.

OK. The much-awaited (in fact, awaited for about 12 hours!!) update to my analysis on 14...Bg7 concluding with a slight advantage for Black. One of my games on playchess.com is included.

Would not like to feel am making analyses all by myself, gets a bit lonely. Everyone knows this, but I'll repeat: Feel free to delete, modify, add, etc. to my analysis.

Thanks blksabb for the flattery...

Of course its not a total unbust as i am sure mr. jones and mr. ward found something against it. Besides for a practical game it would take incredibly long to study the entire double pawn sac line.

there is an updated version coming up after I run the entire thing through rybka 3. up till now, i only used that at critical points. The verdict might yet change to +/= or even worse ...  Sad

Finally let me deflect yet more of the flattering by pointing out that that analysis was made "hot off the press" viz. I did in a hurry, and I will be more painstaking and hwardworking with the analysis in the new version.

This is really impressive analysis.  It looks like the Accelerated Dragondorf has already been un-busted.

Funny, when I glanced at the new Dragon update yesterday evening, I thought 'damn, the accelerated Dragondorf refuted?'
But when I got up today I looked at the whole thing a little closer and also noticed that black could be OK after 14. ... Bg7.
By the way, what about the more natural 15.fe5: Ne5!? (instead of Be5:), preserving the right to castle?
Rybka thinks black is alright there.

The industrious British GM's churned out another top-class set of annotations- but unfortunately the critical line of the Accelerated Dragondorf seems to have been skipped over. I refer after 14. f4 to the double pawn sacrifice, 14...Bg7!? 15. Qxb4 0-0!? Details in the PGN.
