After 3...cd4, I believe White obtains a slight advantage with 4.cd5!, e.g. 4...Qd5 5.Nc3 Qd8 6.Qd4 Qd4 7.Nd4 a6 8.Bf4. Better is 3...e6 or 3...dc4, which lead to the Tarrasch and the QGA respectively.

All our dreams come true if we have the courage to pursue them.

After the move-order 1.Nf3 d5 2.d4,
I am planning to play 2..c5 as Black,
although I don't normally answer 1.d4 with 1..d5. /*I reach the position only with the white pieces.*/
I know from Khalifman's Openings for White According to Kramnik
that 3.c4 is the best move here.

I was going to instert a diagram here, but I was not allowed because of the capital letters in the FEN string, which is a big software error. Sad

Does 3..cxd4 make any sense? /*Instead of 3..dxc4.*/

What books/articles should be my repertoire references?

-------
Notes:
In a game which has started with 1.Nf3 d5,
players at my rating level rarely play
     - 2.d4 //2.g3 and 2.c4 are more common
     and then, after 2..c5
     - 3.c4 //3.c3 is the most expectable
In other words, the probability that my opponent cares little about the best opening moves is high. /*It is much more likely that I get a good Torre/London/Colle, and a structure similar to my White games, but still...*/

as
*W 1d4) Torre/Barry/Pirc/Philidor/ early _d5:early c4(QGD/Slav/QGD/etc)
*B) 1e4:e6 [+1_c5 2Nf3 a6]| 1d4:e6 2c4 Bb4+ BID/pseudoNID [+1_Nf6 NID]| 1c4:c5,_Nc6,_e5,_g6| 1Nf3:c5
