I think being familiar with some of the ideas from the Dragon could certainly be helpful.  It's funny to me that you bring this up now because last night I was looking over Dangerous Weapons: The Pirc and Modern chapter 9 (Meeting 4.Bg5 in Dragon Style, which pretty much answers your question) and noticing that diagram 3 on pg.162 looked like a comfortable Dragadorf position.
