It seems this particular bug has been fixed in the latest CB11 update, but not in CB10 yet. Anyway, it doesn't bother me too much, it's the conversion to PGN problems that annoy me the most, and some of the 'improvements' too, like seeing folders cluttered with PDF files all of a sudden, or the change in format for the game info.
The really worst bug in CB10 still hasn't been fixed, when the game notation just disappears and you have to Alt+Tab a couple of times just to get it back.

Wow! Never used the "Traiining"button. So I can't help, but it's strange.. It seems like some bugs are happening from using more than one version of Chessbase on your computer. And somehow these versions are messing with each other. My advice is: try a clean install at first opportunity!..  Embarrassed

I've just reverted back from CB10 SP6 to an old SP3 update I found on my computer - I preferred the old bugs to the new ones! Roll Eyes

I've just come across a new problem, when I click on a database's properties, then on the 'Training' button it used to give me a box with the training options ... but now it says 'Attempted an unsupported operation'!! Roll Eyes

It's possible, but if you go to the 'Service and Download' bit of the ChessBase site and click on CB10 it offers you 'ChessBase 10 update (SP 6)'. Maybe they just haven't changed this?!

All I know is that updates for CB11 are up to SP14. Presumably CB10 is updated up to SP14, too.  Undecided
Edit: So Chessbase easily surpass Microsoft with their service packs for Windows..  Grin

I've just discovered a bug in the CB10 SP6 update, which also seems to occur in CB11: If you put some diagrams in a game, save it, then copy it to a PGN Database, then copy it to a word processor, instead of diagrams you will see '[#]'. It seems that it changes the diagram code from '{#}' to '[#]' ... thus rendering it totally useless!! Roll Eyes
I've also noticed some other problems when copying games from one database into a PGN database, but haven't been able to consistently reproduce them yet!

Actually, I might be wrong as I haven't been able to duplicate this bug since updating my CB10.
My version of CB10 is SP6 (I think) dated 'December 19 2011', does anyone have a more recent version?

When I study with Chessbase with a book or so, I usually use the "Planilla" mode, so it displays the moves in a vertical order like a tournament movesheet, so you see not the moves horizontally but vertically to move 30, then to move 60 on the second column. Maybe this can alleviate the problem?

I emailed ChessBase quite a while ago (December 2011) about a bug in CB10 (and 11) concerning PGN files and the tags[WhiteTeamCountry "?"] and
[BlackTeamCountry "?"]
which are not reinitialised after each game, in other words if a game is from a match and has these tags then all subsequent copied games will also have the same ones.
They replied and said: "This is a clear bug. I corrected it and it will be concluded in the next CB11 update.We will also publish an update for CB". Now while this bug no longer exists for CB11, it still hasn't been fixed in CB10! Angry
The problem is that while I have both programs, I much prefer using CB10 for serious work.

My notation panel still occasionally disappears on Chessbase 10 and 11. 11 runs slightly slower on my antiquated Core 2 Duo, so I generally use 10.

I have an annoying issue with chessbase11 that has engine load error for a few engines. I don't know why.
