I'll nominate Stellwagen's 24...Qf3! against Van Wely in the Rising Stars vs. Experience NH Chess Tournament.

There was the game GM Prie played against another high-rated GM, cant remember who with dxc5 and follow-up Bxh7+! Whole thing had been put forward on this forum by AlanG, so it does pay to keep an eye sometimes!

Also Dominguez-Morozevich where Dominguez played the absurd 13.Na4!! is a likely winner.
(after: 1.e4 c5 2.Nf3 d6 3.d4 cd4 4.Nd4 Nf6 5.Nc3 a6 6.Be3 e5 7.Nb3 Be6 8.Qd2 Nbd7 9.f3 b5 10.0-0-0 Rc8 11.g4 Nb6 12.g5 b4 now 13.Na4!!)

With this being a site on chess theory and all, how about a yearly vote on the best novelty from the previous year?

Any candidate moves?
