I have some reservations about this policy. But I am not the forum owner. The problem is that we have started on a slippery slope. Now everyone is going to want to start their own thread on books for sale.

I agree, there shouldn't be a problem with that. An appropriate method may be to start a thread asking members who are interested in buying them to send a PM to you. 

EBay might be a better place to sell DVDs and books, but to my knowledge there have been book/DVD exchanges before, so I guess it's worth trying here to see if there are any takers.

Out of curiosity, are most of these books fairly new or more in the 'old classics' category? Or somewhere in between?

Forgive me, but would you describe what in your view would be an appropriate and discreet method?  I do wish very much to remain in keeping with the spirit as well as the "letter of the law," so to speak, in this case.  Thanks for your time.

I have a bunch of--around 80--chess DVDs and CDs which I want to sell.  Is such selling permitted here?  I didn't want to do anything inappropriate, so thought I'd ask.  Thanks.
