So it seems that c3 and 0-0 are universal replies to Bc5 idea in Ruy Lopez.

They are good in Classical, Classical Deferred , Moller(only c3), Graz and Neo-Archangel.

It is also interesting question why Classical Deffered and Graz are not played at the highest level like Classical, Moller and Neo-Archangel?

Why interpolation of moves like a6 and Nf6 makes such big difference?

1. e4 e5 2. Nc3 Nf6 3. Bb5 a6 4. Ba4 b5 5.Bb3 Bc5

So its like Norwegian but with 5...Bc5 instead of 5...Na5.
Question is what are the critical lines?

a) 6.Nxe5 looks interesting but looks that black can equalise

b) 6.0-0 is the most played move in the databases

c) 6.c3 Kasparov played in some simul

d) 6.a4 was played by some strong players

e) 6.d3, Nc3 engine wants to play
