Speciellt intressant var Nepomniachtchi,Ian (2656) - Jobava,Baadur (2695).

Actually ChessBup database has 16 games as well and for completeness Kaissiber Caro-Kann 3. f3 no 29/80.

I have got a lot of interesting study material -appreciate it very much!

Currently working on a project to document opning and Yearbook no in a spreadsheeet. A lot of cut and paste.

What kind of proof is that?

Förresten, om du söker på sajten efter "fantasy" så finns det ännu mer matnyttigt där, tex:

That was nice, and 13 games from Iceland 2010 as well!
I already knew that almost everyone on Iceland is writing fiction and poetry (and very good) so they have a lot of fantasy - apparently they play it as well.

Thanks!
It's a pitty that CBM doesn't maintain a master index of openings addressed in the "magazine".

3...e6 keeps it well within C-K solidity. The Fantasy is only exciting if black desires it to be.

Erenburg's CBM survey on it was high quality.

You don't happen to know the exact no of CBM?

Other sources to the Caro-Kann/Fantasy would be much appreciated. I only have "Gambiteer I" and Kaissiber.

Agree that the Fantasy variation is fun to play for an old and reviving 1.Nf3 player. Started to play 1.e4 and every gambit there is (hard to find a good one in Caro-Kann though)!! Have never had so fun playing chess as I have now.

CBM 133.

Surely the Fantasy Variation (1.e4 c6 2. d4 d5 3.f3!) has to be the most exciting way to meet the Caro Kann. Can't understand why more players don't play it. Shocked Shocked
