I was wondering whether the line

1.e4 c5 2.Nf3 d6 3.d4 cxd4 4.Nxd4 Nf6 5.Nc3 Nc6 6.Bg5 e6 7.Qd2 a6 8.0-0-0 h6 9.Nxc6 bxc6 10.f4 d5

is still thought to be putting this line out of business at the top level or have there been some recent devlopments.

I have always liked the idea of playing the Classical but finding a good line against the Rauzer has always stumped me.

Does anyone know a good line for black that scores well and a player who plays it with good results?

1. e4 c5 2. Nf3 d6 3. d4 cxd4 4. Nxd4 Nf6 5. Nc3 Nc6 6. Bg5 e6 7. Qd2 Be7 8. O-O-O Nxd4 9. Qxd4 O-O is a good line. It's been played by Kramnik, Shirov, and Jobava. It might be the best line against the Rauzer. Black gets pretty good piece play. I like this for black 10. f4 Qa5 11. Bc4 Rd8.

Isn't that the reason people play the Najdorf?
