There is the very good book by Kiril Georgiev and Atanas Kolev "The Sharpest Sicilian" from Chess Stars. Related to GM6 there is also the Scheveningen DVD from Ftacnik too. But if you have to choose between a serious opening book and a Chessbase DVD I would advise you to take the book without a doubt. Only if you are looking for an introductory guide with explanations then the DVD's would be a good idea.

How to Play the Najdorf (Kasparov dvd's)

Hello,

I have 2 openings against 1.e4: the Najdorf and Caro-Kahn. I want the Najdorf to be my main opening and am currently going through Ftacnik's book on the sicillian, and will be buying the cutting edge v.2 and 3 books when they're out (I think they're dedicated to the Najdorf?).

However what I would like to know is whether Kasparov's dvd's on the Najdorf are still worth buying? Or are his lines now out of date? I might still buy them just because it's Kasaparov and he was probably the greatest Najdorf player ever, but would still like to hear opinions as I don't want to waste money.

Also if anyone can advise on any "must have" materials for a Najdorf player I'd be greatful to hear them.

Thanks
L.T
