Eeh? The Sicilian Wing Gambit is valid because 5...e6 is better than 5...e5 and an FM was in trouble as White against it? I don't get that logic.

The book had the effect good books usually have: it made the stupids more stupid, the intelligent more intelligent and the other thousands of readers remained unchanged.

I would be very interested to see some nice game (or analysis) for White where Black playes the better 5...e6.
Stefan Bücker (who studied the Nanu gambit in the magazine Kaissiber) got into trouble with White against a clubmate of mine rated c. 2180 last year in a small tournament.

This confirms nanu Gambit's Validity.

actually I take that back I don't like how black played at all. It looks like he fell for an elementary trap beginning with 7... e4 Should just continue normal development Nf6. I'm sure I've seen this exact game/analysis elsewhere before with ?? on e4. The rook is poisoned bait similar to a line in the KID where black offers his own rook up (I forget the exact line or i'd post it).
