I skim read both books - awesome.
Is this really the "basic" GM-knowledge or stuff for the 2700+ cracks? There are many lines analysed till the endgame - simply unbelievable.

It's not unbelievable at all, lines are often analyzed to the endgame in opening books. And neither is 99.9% of chess "discovered" as you said in another recent post. No mass-produced opening book is "for 2700+" players.

The older, the better - over 2200 and still rising.

Pavlovic decided not to do any more books for us at the moment.

We are in positive talks with another well-respected author about Cutting Edge 3 and have a few guys who have offered to throw in their own analysis to assist. I am hoping we can maintain the high quality of the first two books.

Don't quote me on this until someone can find it, but I thought I remembered Aagaard writing that Pavlovic was busy, or wasn't interested - so perhaps this one is going to be a bit aways, since they're going to have to find something else.

QC just released a new publishing dates list, no mention of Cutting Edge 3, so looks like it will be coming out after October.

I think it's really good and it's worth the money I paid for. It just focuses in the most critical lines (I miss, for instance, some lines where white castles long in the Topalov's h5) but it's the most complete study I have in the a5 line. I look forward to the Cutting Edge: Sicilian Najdorf 6.Bg5 publishing.
