The 3.Bc4 and Cochrane Gambits are not trustworthy. Better to teach the kid main lines than trappy sidelines. 

3.Ne5 d6 4.Nf3 Ne4 5.Nc3 is rather easy for White to play; he can probably start playing the line just by knowing two things:

a) After 5...Nxc3 6.dxc3 develop the bishop, play Qd2, castle queenside and if Black castles on the opposite side, throw your kingside pawns at Black.

b) After 5...Nf6, develop normally and play h3 early to restrict Black's light-squared bishop.

Hi , 
This is Thork . I want to ask you what is the best variation to face the Petroff . ¿ 1.e4 - e5 2 . Nf3 - Nf6 3 . Bc4 gambit ? ¿ Try to transpose to the 4 Knights Belgrade Gambit ? ¿ 1.e4 - e5 2 . Nf3 - Nf6 3. Nxe5 - d6 4 . Nxf7 gambit ?
