Hello,
I read this section for some days but i was not able to dispel any doubt.
I played SemiSlav via Slav move order for 2 years and it was my first serious repertoire against 1.d4, 1.c4 1. Nf3.
In the last tournaments i was so bored of slow slav and moscow (Bg5 h6 Bxf6 Qxf6) developments that i played two botvinnik semi slav with optimal results (2+) against 2000-2100 rated player.
So i figured out i should change my repertoire in something more entertaining and critical (because i perceive that playing botvinnik every round could become a weakness), and my eyes were caught by the Nimzo and Benoni (with the cata-benoni as a bonus).
I played always the classical 1...d5 and i think this is a good opportunity to learn more about chess, but i never had any occasion to play the nimzo otb in social or rapid tournaments because it's plenty of 3. Nf3 and catalan fans (so i played lots of benoni!).
I read the Vera book but i'm not pretty convinced about his repertoire against 4. e3 and 4. Qc2, i'm attracted to play 4....c5 against both, but i don't know if it's an answer sharper enough to give pretty decent winning chances and if the consequent variations are healty in modern days.
In facts i'm seeking for some book about them, and i think i'm going to subscribe to the nimzo section because i feel this opening is harder to mantain than semislav, but i fear it will impact severely my social life due to my chess addiction
