You are probably right. I would still try 16. cb ab 17.Bg2 Bb7 18.f3 but it does not look like much.

How about 14.Be3 stopping Qc5 and threatening Bd4 and/or c5. I probably would prefer white here.

It might have been just a dream, but I remember devising a little Black repertoire based on the moves 6..Ne4 7.Qd3 Nxc3 8.bxc3 Be7. (or something like that...preserving the dark-square bishop, that I know for sure)
But I have forgotten where I could have read(!?) about it months ago... (another thread? a book? an article? or games by strong players in TWIC?)
