There are no actions to perform.
Bronznik is a thorough and good writer.

Authors have no obligation to play against any internet rando who doorsteps them. ‘No, go away. Jog on, troll’ is a suitable response.

And bluntly, he’s a decent player, while you’re not. It would be a waste of his time.

From the ‘proving it’ perspective, beating a relative bunny in line X, Y or Z means nothing. I’m sure we can all agree on that.

Here is what I think. Bronznik refused to defend his analyses when I offered to play him a match. This was a couple of years ago. Way I see it, you write something, you stand by it. Otherwise that is called turning tail and running away from a challenge.

I just received the book. Bronznik goes deeper than Avrukh and has very good explanations. I'd recommend it to all d4 players.

I agree with Daniel.  I do, however, wish he would have covered a couple of other offbeat openings though (Uberdeker defence, see http://www.chesspub.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1142445517/0 and 1...h6).

The quiet lines with Nbd2 it is.

Is it with e3/Be2 or an early a3?

Just kidding. That's a good recommendation.

he mentions both, but prefers e3. He has also lots of analysis of black's minor options.

I have the german edition, it looks like a very good book but i haven't checked anything in depth.

Against the Budapest, he offers the 4. Bf4 variation.

Can't seem to find out anywhere online which variation is suggested vs Budapest?
I'll think I'll be deciding between this and Squeezing the Gambits in the near future.

Sample at http://www.newinchess.com/1_d4___Beat_the_Guerrillas_-p-958.html

"The book which you are about to read is a revised and extended edition of my German work ‘1.d4 – Ratgeber gegen unorthodoxe Eröffnungen’."

Don't check me with no lightweight stuff.

I own the german edition and can say that the translation is justified. It is an excellent book on all that rare and dangerous stuff with deep analysis, much better than any other source, except Avrukh maybe.

A must have for d4-players, at least if you are 2000+ or corrchess player

Not at all since it´s a translation of a german book:
