Does anyone actually not like the Previous Month link?

Yes, too bad there seems to be little interest in this. Anyway, I like it and will for sure use it if available.

This thread seems to have gone cold ... just when I was hoping for a little inspiration! Sad
I've put a 'Previous Month' link at the bottom of this month's Open Sicilians update as a trial - any criticism would be welcome! Smiley

Of course, once we've decided where it goes the next question is how to put it on thousands of pages?! Roll Eyes

This is why I asked if you could do it, otherwise I would probably have said something like - you should add a button etc. Smiley

Any thoughts on the best place for a 'Previous month' button, top or bottom?

I'd suggest at the top, next to – or at least close to – the line of text identifying the month of the current update.

I am not sure, but probably at the bottom. If possible, one at the bottom and one just next to the link - To download the October '11 1 X ... games directly in PGN form, click here: - maybe?

I think it's a great idea. Even if not many people go through old updates yet, their number might increase considerably after that "novelty"!

What do people mean when they say "Chess is the pawn of the soul"?

But maybe it is not too common for people to do this?

Actually, it's something I often find myself doing too.

Hmm, actually that's not a bad idea! Does anyone else feel this could be useful?

I think it's a great idea! Trawling back through previous updates is currently quite a laborious process. Implementing this suggestion would make things a lot easier.

I just realized that I miss a feature in the guides sections. Is it possible, in addition of having the links to the old updates, to add a browser function. I mean, can you add an arrow that you could click on to get to the last previous update? This would make it quicker to go through old updates, instead of clicking each link on the "previous update"-page . But maybe it is not too common for people to do this?
