Having only looked at this line superficially, I'm not sure I see what's wrong with:

1.e4 d6 2.d4 Nf6 3.Nc3 Nbd7 4.Nf3 e5 5.Bc4 Be7 6.Ng5 0-0 7.Bxf7 Rxf7 8.Ne6 Qe8 9.Nxc7 Qd8 10.Nxa8

and, now, either: 10...b5 or 10...b6

10...b5 11.dxe5 dxe5 looks interesting and under-explored (as distinct from 11...Nxe5).

I would imagine that your concern stems from Black's material deficit? Play through a number of games in this line and see what you think. See, also, how Black managed to take advantage of his/her better development and more active pieces. Quiet play from Black will result in disaster.

Hi, i want play Philidor defence (by pirc move order) and i find difficult to defend this position

1 e4 d6 2 d4 Nf6 3 Nc3 Nbd7 4 Nf3 e5 5Bc4 Be7 6Ng5 00 7 Bxf7 and so on...

I read the Bauer book but im not totally agree with his suggestions...what do you think is a good defence for black?
