It looks a bit premature to me. Is Black so certain that b8 is the best square for the Rook and not c8?
White has tried 10.Be2, 10.Bc4 and 10.Kb1 amongst others. Especially the latter looks good. Black faces the same choice as on his 9th move, but White's King is definitely better placed now.

The book had the effect good books usually have: it made the stupids more stupid, the intelligent more intelligent and the other thousands of readers remained unchanged.

1.e4 c5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.d4 cxd4 4.Nxd4 Nf6 5.Nc3 d6 6.Bg5 e6 7.Qd2 a6 8.0-0-0 Be7 9.f4 Rb8!?

Well f4 is one of the main moves here. Any opinion on this sideline move? It looks pretty reasonable to me.
