This is the approach I would like to make work.

Maybe White retains chances though after 4 Bxc6 bxc 5 0-0 Bg7 6 Re1 Nh6 7 c3 0-0 8 d4 cxd 9 cxd d5 10 e5 f6 11 exf exf 12 Nbd2 Re8 13 Nb3 Bf5 as Black's position looks hard to play. 12..Nf7 instead, or something earlier?

I would think that 4...bc has for quite some years been generally viewed as falling into += territory.  I thought 6. Re1 Rb8 seemed interesting when I noticed Robin van Kampen playing it last year.

Greets book is great but does not contain anything about the Rossolimo.

After 1.e4 c5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Bb5 g6 4.Bxc6 instead of 4... dxc6 taking with the b-pawn is a way to unbalance the game more. It´s certainly not worse than the more common recapture with the d-pawn.

Unfortunately I´m not aware of a source covering this from Blacks side, only for White Wink

Yep, finished formatting this chapter and making it look nice a week or so ago, after I fixed a few suggestions from my Editor and Ametanoitos from a while back.

I really enjoy the positions after 3...Nf6!?, a line I think is definitely worth a look-see.

Is this what you'll recommend in your Killer book? (Just so I can start to prep before it's release in Nov)  Wink

I also like 3...Nf6 as suggested in Chess Stars' The Easiest Sicilian. It can lead to positions reminiscent of the Delayed Ruy Lopez Exchange.

the thing about the early g6 is there are a few new lines that I'm not quite fond of that appear, like  a d4 cxd4 Qxd4 line, where as that doesn't appear after 2....Nc6.

3....d6 seems very interesting, I might take a look. Taking by b-pawn I've taken a look at too, but I've had some struggles against it....

Experts vs Sicilian has a chapter on the Rossolimo for Black written by Tiger Hillarp Persson, where he recommended 3...d6. The point is to appeal to both 2...Nc6 and 2...d6 players who face 3.Bb5.

At the risk of sounding like a pedant, but with the good intention of saving anyone from accidentally buying the wrong book, I thought I'd point out that this chapter appears in Experts On The Anti-Sicilian, rather than Experts vs The Sicilian.  Smiley

What about Experts vs the Anti-Sicilians, haven't looked at those lines.

Yes, if 2...g6, white does have other options. Greet's book is excellent, and has a discussion on the move order choice to bypass the Rossolimo.

Experts vs Anti-Sicilian has a chapter on the Rossolimo for Black written by Tiger Hillarp Persson, where he recommended 3...d6. The point is to appeal to both 2...Nc6 and 2...d6 players who face 3.Bb5. Might be a good place to start. Other sources would be the recent books by Bologan (The Rossolimo Sicilian) and Jones (How to Beat the Sicilian Defence), although Jones book is a repertoire for White.

After 1. e4 c5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. Bb5 I've been playing Bg7. However, after Bxc6 and dxc6, I've been playing the set up with pawn on e5 and re-organize my position. I haven't had the best luck with this. It seems fairly drawish and not really useable if I want to play for the win. What do you guys recommend? Are there any good websites?  I'm a accelerated dragon player and would like those kinds of positions.

Starting Out: Accelerated Dragon by Greet. Very good explanations, and nothing like the other SO-books, IMO.

If 2 .. g6 white can also 4 c3 since g6 in morra is considered good for white. But of course black does not have to take at c3. There are also other white options like 4 Qxd4, not shure of it theoriticall status.
