In general it's a minimal edge for W.
Pritchett considers 10. Ne3 White's best (10. b3 of Gelfand - Bacrot is mentioned) and he examines two other B alternatives to 10. ...Ne5 of the main game (Hansen-Kallio)

Yes, thats much in line with my intial sentiments, a very minimal White plus. This already has me wondering why 4...g6 is, in terms of popularity, far dwarfed by other 4th move alternatives!?

It's covered in Pritchett's "Play the English", where he analyzes Cu. Hansen - Kallio (2003) - 6. d4 avoids transpositions to KID
(Ribli annotates the same game in CBM 98 - I found it in Megabase 2011)

Thank you! Dont have any of those but will try to look for it online. Do you know what the verdict is?

Hey,

Im expanding my opening repertoire to cover a lot of c4 lines and need help with this position/vatiation. Does anyone know the current theoretical status and maybe point towards any literature where this has been covered? I have Marin's books but he only covers Botvinnik setups for White.
