Yes, I am going to get Watson's book too, but I have a feeling just reading the Gambit Page that he will pick easeir side lines, things like Bg5 or Bf4 against the Grunfeld. Which are fine and good solid lines, I just like more mainstream openings, and especially against the Grunfeld.  I could be wrong and will buy the book no matter what most likley.  You can usually find at least a couple of lines you like in most Rep. books.  And for 1.d4 players that do not play the Fianchetto like me(Except for the Catalan sometimes) I try and get any new book with 1.d4 c4 lines

I love playing the mainlines from the black side of my Grunfeld and Najdorf/Scheveningen, would like my play as white to be just as fun and dynamic...

Somehow I messed up the thread...

Good advice...Having two lines against the Grunfeld is a great idea and I think the Russian and Be3 Exchange will mix well.

thanks again...  Gilchrist is a legend

Also I think there is a book by Gambit written by Watson that should be released in May, concerning a 1. d4 repertoire. I am unsure what he will recommend against the Grünfeld though.
