Hi, guys!
I would like to present you the original analyses of the so-called Bulgarian variation in the Ruy Lopez, made in 1990-1992 by the late Dr. Georgi Popov (an ICCF GM, 1934-2008) - the best Bulgarian correspondence chess player ever.
In 2010, the Bulgarian Correspondence Chess Federation (BCCF) organized a 12th category memorial-tournament, called "Dr.Georgi Popov Memorial". It just finished -
http://www.iccf-webchess.com/EventCrossTable.aspx?id=20976 , so I decided, being a Bulgarian too, to commemorate this event with this small contribution of mine.
I don't know if I have the full rights to post Dr. Georgi Popov's outstanding analyses. They were published in the 1992/5 issue of BCCF magazine (discontinued in 1999) in Bulgarian language only. So I tried to translate them (please, forgive my English!) and put them in the pgn-format.
These are nine pgn-files, that contain some Georgi Popov's correspondence chess games and his original analyses, so I'll try to publish them here one by one.
And if I violate some rules or copyright issues, please forgive me and tell me to stop! I'll do it immediately.
Anyway, I'll start with the beginning of the whole story, as described by this outstanding correspondence chess player.
Waiting for your responses,
Vass
