Taylor recommends Be2 and shows two different followup systems as white. He covers the Alekhine attack and Karpovs classical Be2 Bg5 plan.

I think Timothy Taylor recommends this for white in his 'Slay the Sicilian'

Dragon players just don't like to take them seriously though, so the books often don't either Smiley

Golubev's small everyman book did a nice job on these although it's rather old now and maybe out of print with it. I don't imagine that the theory will have changed too much.

Not a book, a DVD, but you may like to have a look at this from GingerGM:

As noted elsewhere on the forum, GM Simon Williams can be quite a handy player, having just butchered World Champ Challenger Gelfand with black.

Thx, @bibs.
Seems to be a dark hole in the current book market.

Lines like:

1. e4 c5 2. Nf3 d6 3. d4 cxd4 4. Nxd4 Nf6 5. Nc3 g6 6. Be2 Bg7 7. O-O Nc6 8. Nb3 O-O 9. Re1 Be6 10. Bf1

1. e4 c5 2. Nf3 d6 3. d4 cxd4 4. Nxd4 Nf6 5. Nc3 g6 6. Be2 Bg7 7. O-O Nc6 8.
Nb3 O-O 9. Bg5 a6

aren´t that innocence, especially otb and unprepared.

Last sunday I played the dragon and my opponent "surprised" me with 6.Be2. We played a short game, which ended in a draw, because I wasn´t content with my position.
At home, I wanted to check my lines in a book - sure, megabase and houdini is more than enough to analyse a game - but they were completely outdated (NCO (Nunn), sportverlag (Polu), Sapi/Schneider).
The latest books cover just lines with 6.Be3 (Rauser) till move 30+, but ignore all sidelines.

Which book covers 6.Be2 and is less than three years old?
