I haven't had any problems on either MSIE 11 or 8 on two different computers. Has it got worse since I changed servers on Monday?

Do you mean it has got smaller, or gone away entirely?

is it normal the search function only gives 1 result?

I suppose it depends what you are looking for. We used to have it pointing to Google, but there is a new search system with the upgraded software and so I thought I'd try that for a while. At the moment I have it set to 3 months, but I can certainly increase this?

Maybe there is some invalid HTML syntax, and IE is being unforgiving?

I could email the screenshot of the badly messed up forum UI, if I had an email address to send it to.

Thanks.

Incidentally, do you know how on the new Forum I get the page of 'Most recent forum posts'? (I mean just the 'X most recent', not the latest by section.)

When you go to the Board Index, right towards the bottom left, under 'Forum Statistics' there should be a drop-down list 'View the ...' where you can choose the number of posts.

I've just been playing with the settings, the Forum is now set to UK time (I hope) and the time is right on my version, but some of the recent posts' times seems to have been messed up! Roll Eyes

I'm glad you like it, hopefully the sub-boards will be a big organisational help ... as soon as I get them all done!

Probably not a bug, but I notice that the latest Forum post, by TheDragon, 'was' posted around forty minutes' time from now! How to sort?

It looks Ok to me, but we are probably not in exactly the same time zone! Try changing this in your User CP.

There seem to be quite a few newly discovered bugs in the Forum software (which is inevitable, really, as the most intensive testing comes from actual use), and I suppose there will be some fixes coming soon.
I have mentioned some of our problems, some have been fixed already, but if anyone notices anything else please post here! Wink

I can make a temporary fix (until someone can suggest a permanent change?! Undecided) that removes the numbers and letters down the side (and also the arrow)

+1 for this temporary fix

OK. I have hacked at our proprietary code a bit, and removed the letters and number around the board. I think it looks better, at least it should suffice until someone explains to me how to get them back without the CSS mess! Roll Eyes

OK, thanks guys, it does indeed look like a problem with the server ... which I am going to change today anyway! Smiley Let's see if that sorts the problem out.

That was me and in Safari, there is no date time

It doesn't look like it is a browser problem, then, as I haven't had any problems with MSIE 11 or the old version 8 (in XP).
Can you try going to http://www.yabbforum.com/cgi-bin/community/YaBB.pl to see if you experience the same problem there, too?

I can see the date and time on that forum.

To answer your question...

I agree the chesspub.com datetime absence problem is not the browser's fault: the datetime info simply is not sent to MS IE from the chesspub.com server.
Perhaps something in the header of the GET request sent by IE to the chesspub.com server is being checked by the server logic in buggy logic?
