One bit this reminds me of: I came across a game Evdokimov-Shabalov from a few months ago, annotated by Shabalov. He referred to a game Karjakin-Radjabov (2008) with a comment like "Black passed the test with flying colors." The same game was cited in the "Uncovered" book, but there it was thought to be better for White.

	Speaking of thematic material, Bronstein used to play a lot of ....exd4, so "Bronstein on the King's Indian" (compiled by Ken Neat) could be a useful source. Though it looks like all of those ...exd4 games feature the Fianchetto or Sämisch from White, not the Classical. No current theory there either, obviously.

	Look on a database Surely it's still less common than (some of) the others? Seriously though, if you're going to start studying this, then start with all those games from the 50's/60's etc. Without that your chances of understanding the (no doubt) really refined modern move orders etc won't be good. iirc Golubev has a small bit about it in his (very nice indeed) book. (Published by Gambit.).

However, I think you wold agree with me that three years ago 7...exd4 was less played than 7...Nc6, 7...Na6 or 7...Nbd7. What new ideas lie behind this revival?

	I think John Watson covered this variation over a number of videos for the ICC. In terms of books, OFWAK 1b dedicated 48pgs to the variation from the White side. Can't think of any books from the black side though, just had a look at my classical king's indian uncovered book and 7...exd4 is not listed in contents.

	7...exd4 is gaining tremendous popularity and becoming one of the main lines of the Classical. Where could I find any information?
