Black want to win too so nowadays everyboby maintain the knight on d5 and play e6 d6 or e6 b6 .

Not sure A is very sound , B is the more exciting played a lot in the 90's  C and D are a bit boring and drawish for my taste.

Alapin Sicilian 2...Nf6 with early d2-d4

Hi,

I´m playing the Sicilian Alapin (1.e4 c5 2.c3) for over 20 years and I want to combine it now with the Morra Gambit after reading “Mayhem in the Morra” by Marc Esserman. The only thing I am not happy about is that I am normally delaying d2-d4 in the line 1.e4 c5 2.c3 Nf6.
I selected four lines where I try to find an advantage for white:

A:
1. e4 c5 2. c3 Nf6 3. e5 Nd5 4. d4 cxd4 5. Nf3 Nc6 6. cxd4 d6 7. Bc4 Nb6 8. Bb3 dxe5 9. d5 Na5 10. Nc3 Bg4 (!, critical from my point of view)

B:
1. e4 c5 2. c3 Nf6 3. e5 Nd5 4. Nf3 d6 5. d4 cxd4 6. Bc4 Nb6 7. Bb3 Nc6 8. exd6  Qxd6 9. O-O Be6 10. Na3 dxc3 11. Qe2 Bxb3 12. Nb5 Qb8 13. axb3

C:
1. e4 c5 2. c3 Nf6 3. e5 Nd5 4. d4 cxd4 5. Nf3 Nc6 6. cxd4 d6 7. Bc4 Nb6 8. Bb5 dxe5 9. Nxe5 Bd7 10. Nxd7 Qxd7 11. Nc3

D:
1. e4 c5 2. d4 cxd4 3. c3 Nf6 4. e5 Nd5 5. Nf3 Nc6 6. Bc4 Nb6 7. Bb3 d6 8. exd6 Qxd6 9. O-O Be6 10. Na3 dxc3 11. Bxe6 {Esserman}

What´s your opinion about these lines? What is the current status of them and where is the possibility to get a complex position where an opponent can be outplayed?

Thanks for your answers!  Smiley
