Book has been completed. It is 70 pages long, with games 1956-2015. You can check it out at the Unorthodox Chess Openings group on Yahoo groups.

No, this is not an ad for Yahoo groups. I merely point out where you can find my book.

Many games are from correspondence; over-the-board tournaments; blitz play; casual play; Quick Chess. I have checked materials in English, Russian, German, Danish languages, used paper books and computer databases.
Many early games were not in the databases.

It took me 2,5 years to complete the manuscript.

I am writing a full-size book about this very line. This is the Gunderam Attack in the Vienna Defense.

Hello  Smiley

I play quite often the BDG, and I've found in the excellent Christoph Scheerer's book the following line suggested by David Flude :

1.d4 d5 2.e4 dxe4 3.Nc3 Nf6 4.f3 Bf5 5.g4 Bg6 6.h4!? exf3 7.Qxf3 c6 8.h5 Bxc2 9.g5!? Nd5 10.Rh2 Nxc3 11.bxc3 Ba4 12.Bc4.

So, I would like know what is the current status of this line.

I've do some analysis :

1) 12..f6 13.h6 g6 14.gxf6 exf6 15.Re2+ Kd7 16.Bf4 Kc8! 17.Be6+ Nd7 18.Rb1
Now, Black must play Ba3 because others moves are not good enough and I prefer White.

2) 12...e6 13.g6! Qe7 (13...hxg6 14.hxg6! wins immediately ; 13...f6 14.Re2 and after 15.Rxe6 White is very good) 14.gxf7+ Qxf7 and now 15.Qxf7+ Kxf7 16.Re2 or 15.Bxe6 Qxf3 16.Nxf3 seem to be good for White.

What do you think about this ?

(Sorry if I speak a bad English, I'm a young french player...  Smiley )
