That's a impressively thorough review!

Very nice book to browse I've found Smiley Entirely terrifying to actually play the thing of course, although a fair number of the black options really do strike me as entirely impractical for OTB chess.

I admit the theory can seem rather imposing but the whole thing is honestly a lot of fun. You just need to study one or two lines that you like and it should be enough to last you for some time.  Cheesy

Congratulations with your book, do you think that Europe and the Americas would receive it this week?

Hi all,

Apologies for the delay, but the book was on sale a few weeks ago. Here's a review on chess.com by the popular Australian Grandmaster, and Chesspub columnist, Dave Smerdon  Smiley

Delayed now till August. That's disappointing!

Hi,

The draft is up and has been sent for editing! Hopefully it wouldn't need to take that long although I may need to come up with an update after the book is published.

Thanks,
Kevin

Maybe this link has already been posted, a column by Kavalek about Donner, the Chinese and the Donner/Chinese Najdorf:

Maybe this game is of some theoretical importance:

http://www.iccf.com/game?id=610486

I think that the line chosen by my opponent is nothing very serious, but there is a way for White to put more pressure to Black. So, i am waiting to see if the author of the book will be able to offer a good solution here.

I can't see the game, the site is asking to log in

No, this is just silly Smiley

Look at the Richter Rauser lines where white surrenders an entire tempo on Bg5 just to get an f3/e4 English attack set up vs blacks Nc6/Bd7. Entirely effective.

Giving white that tempo back again with Bg4, f3 Bd7 is not going to work well.

Agree. Just very bad. Let's move on.
