The lines that I found are from GM Nick DeFirman's book Modern Chess Openings 15th edition.  These are some of the ideas that he had for declined gambit lines.

What about 1e4 e6 2d4 d5 3Nc3 Nf6 4Bg5 Be7 5e5 Nfd7 6h4 h6!? This has been unfairly criticized in some sources. It may actually be blacks best. White can exchange on e7 or play Qh5 but maybe Be3 is best hoping that h6 will prove a weakness

I think in other posts, either on this specific thread or elsewhere on Chesspub, contributors have indicated that Be3 is the best. My view is that White capturing on e7 seems a mistake.

But, anywho, I think White is better here. I prefer 6...Nc6.

the dark squared bishop is often black's best piece but engines love Be3  ... it sure seems like an ugly and counter intuitive move yet my engine has it far out ahead as best move here

i doubt i would play it otb without having looked at engine first

That forum is dealing with 8.Qd3 Can we discuss 8.Nh3 Qe7 9 Nf4 in this forum ??? I think the only problem is when black plays 9...g6 instead of 9... Nc6.Does any one finds a way for white to get an advantage ?

Maybe what Dom means is this thread:

http://www.chesspub.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1079808789/10

Not just a 8.Qd3 thread but still...

Here's the game in pgn. To use pgn, just click on the PGN button and enter the game.

I don't see Qd3 that Dom mentioned in his last post.

Just a reminder for chesspub members...
You can google-search on the forum for variations.
Here for example. Type in www.google.com, search field:

site:chesspub.com Alekhine Chatard

and you can post in one old thread.

Another hint: use the pgn tag (click on icon as chessboard) to insert your PGN game...help readers, because glyph or fonts for pieces not handled in this text forum.

I don't remember exactly but I feel that Qd3 has been discussed here on the forum

Hello there.

I see this survey is from 1993.

I dont know that much on this variation. But enough to say that both 8.Nb5!? and especially 8.Qd3!? (often named Hector Gambit) are considered better tries for advantage in todays pratice.

Just so that you are aware of these moves...
